2004 continued...



We spent a fun month of August hitting the local shows. Courtney gets more and more confident with each ride! Here is a photo of Courtney and Taylor after winning her showmanship and both walk-trot classes at Lima. What a proud pair.

The first weekend in September is the Ohio Futurity. This was one of my smoothest rides all season, with virtually no warm-up time (just hopped on and went!). With running back and forth between Columbus and Delphos (2+ hour drives) for the football games, we got about 5 hours sleep the entire weekend, but it was worth it to come home with a second place finish in both the non-pro and open hunter under saddle maturity.


We'll hit a few more open shows and then it's time to take a break, concentrate on jumping and doing other things over the winter. 2004 was another great year, things just get better and better with Taylor. On the agenda for 2005...hunter hack and fences stuff, maybe some equitation, and bringing Corky along in longe line!
