Spare Me The Details

Taylor was born in 1998, and was the very first "product" of my small breeding program. I did years of research, studied stallions and thoroughbred lines, and put together the cross that would produce my ultimate heart horse.

"A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves - strong, powerful, beautiful - and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence." - Pam Brown

Taylor was one of the most amazing things that ever happened to me, and she made me into the equestrian that I am today. She tried hard to please with everything she did, and I learned to be gentle with her heart as she worried if she knew I was upset. Solid black with just a white star and sock, she was eye-catching and drew notice wherever we went. She was my first venture into the finals at Congress (and oh how she humbled me!), was the first horse that I bred and raised from birth. I was the first person she saw when she hit the ground, and the last person I saw before she passed away tragically in surgery. When she died, my life would never ever be the same.
